Bolivia Travel: Salar de Uyuni, Lake Titicaca & Amazon Adventures
Bolivia is one of the most traditional countries in South America, where Indigenous culture and heritage remain deeply woven into everyday life.
Our highlight was exploring the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flats — a surreal, endless landscape where each day of the tour revealed something new, from shimmering salt patterns to colourful high-altitude lagoons. The journey continued through striking rock formations and otherworldly desert scenery at every turn.
Further on, the deep blue waters of Lake Titicaca offer breathtaking beauty and tranquillity. Hiking across Isla del Sol, with its ancient Inca ruins, terraced hills, and panoramic views of the lake, was unforgettable. Another personal highlight was seeing and swimming with pink river dolphins in the Bolivian Amazon. Shy and elusive by nature, a few of them swam close enough to glide alongside our boat, giving us a rare and magical opportunity to observe these incredible creatures up close.
From high mountains and deserts to the lush Amazon rainforest, Bolivia’s rich traditions and ever-changing landscapes make every moment a unique and memorable adventure.
