Every booking made through Kukula Travel is financially protected.
Booking a holiday is an exciting experience, but it's also an important investment. Naturally, you'll want the reassurance of knowing your money is safe and your booking is financially protected.
At Kukula Travel, we believe understanding your financial protection should be straightforward.
Every booking made through Kukula Travel benefits from financial protection. This document explains how that protection works, how your payments are handled and what you can expect when you book with us.
If anything isn't clear, we'd always be delighted to help.
1. Our Commitment to You
When you book with Kukula Travel, we want you to book with complete confidence.
Protecting your money and your holiday arrangements is an important part of the service we provide.
That's why Kukula Travel is a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA).
Every payment made you make is paid into the TTA Trust Account, where it is held and managed in accordance with the TTA's trust arrangements before being released in line with your booking.
Before you confirm your holiday, we'll always explain:
who your contract is with;
how your booking is financially protected;
any certificates or documentation you'll receive; and
answer any questions you may have.
We believe you should always know exactly how your holiday is protected before deciding to book.
2. How We Work
Every holiday is different, and so is the way it's arranged.
Depending on the holiday you choose, Kukula Travel may act either as:
your Travel Agent; or
your Tour Organiser.
Whichever role we are performing, your booking will always benefit from appropriate financial protection.
The difference is simply how your holiday is arranged, who your contract is with and how that protection is provided.
Please don't worry if this sounds complicated.
We'll always explain this clearly before you book, so you'll know exactly who is providing your holiday, who your contract is with and how your booking is financially protected.
3. When We Act as Your Travel Agent
Sometimes we arrange holidays on behalf of another tour operator or travel provider.
In these cases, we act as your Travel Agent.
Your holiday contract will normally be with the tour operator or travel provider organising your holiday.
Your booking will continue to benefit from financial protection, and we'll explain exactly how that protection applies before you confirm your booking.
We'll also explain:
who your holiday contract is with;
the documentation you'll receive; and
answer any questions you may have before you book.
Although your contract is with another travel company, we'll continue to support you throughout your booking and will always be available to answer questions or assist wherever we can.
4. When We Act as Your Tour Organiser
Many of the holidays we create are tailor-made exclusively for our clients.
For these holidays, Kukula Travel acts as your Tour Organiser.
We design and organise your itinerary, work directly with carefully selected suppliers and remain responsible for arranging the travel services included within your booking.
As with every booking, your payment is made into the TTA Trust Account, where it is handled in accordance with the TTA's trust arrangements before being released to suppliers in line with your booking.
All prepaid suppliers are preapproved with Supplier Failure Cover (SFC) this provides additional protection if an approved travel supplier included within your protected holiday becomes insolvent before providing the travel services you've booked.
We'll always explain exactly how your booking is financially protected before you confirm your holiday.
5. How Your Payment Journey Works
Understanding how your payment is handled can provide additional peace of mind.
Every payment made to Kukula Travel is paid into the TTA Trust Account before being released in accordance with the agreed booking arrangements.

6. Your Booking Documentation
Before you confirm your holiday, we'll provide all the information you need to understand your booking.
Depending on the type of holiday you're booking, this may include:
your Booking Confirmation;
our Booking Conditions;
details of your financial protection;
your TTA Guarantee Certificate (where applicable); and
any other documentation relevant to your holiday.
We'll always be happy to explain any part of your booking documentation if you'd like further clarification.
7. Questions About Your Financial Protection
We understand that financial protection can sometimes seem confusing, particularly as different holidays can be arranged in different ways.
That's why we'll always explain how your booking is financially protected before you confirm your holiday.
If you have any questions at any stage of the booking process, please don't hesitate to ask.
We'd much rather explain everything clearly before you travel than leave you uncertain about any aspect of your booking.
