Colombia Travel: Caribbean Coast, Tayrona Beach, Andes, Lost City & Amazon Adventures

Once deemed unsafe, Colombia is now a top travel highlight, combining vibrant culture, dramatic landscapes, and unforgettable experiences.

Along the Caribbean Coast, we explored the colourful streets of Cartagena, soaked up the sun on pristine beaches in Tayrona National Park, and swam in warm turquoise waters framed by lush jungle. Medellín impressed us with its innovative urban spaces, lively culture, hillside neighbourhoods, and its August flower festival that make the city feel alive at every turn. The Andes reveal charming colonial towns and breathtaking scenery, hikes and opportunities for mountain biking, One spectacular highlight for me was the Valle de Cocora, with its towering wax palms and misty mountains — a truly unforgettable sight. Adventure seekers can hike, paraglide, or trek the ancient Lost City, while the Amazon offers dense jungle, winding rivers, and extraordinary wildlife.

With Caribbean beaches, vibrant cities, high mountains, and jungle trails, Colombia offers a journey full of contrasts, culture, festivals, and adventure.
